Conférence de Presse/ press conference, by Alvaro García de Zúñiga
This set draws inspiration from American press conferences, with those patterned carpets and colourful curtains, as in American hotels, to which I added a popular clothes-drying device, so familiar to us, complete with line and sheets.
A press conference is nothing more than a place for sending out messages, washing dirty laundry or simply discussing everyday trivia, a place where language takes the form of equivalence, hypnotism and two-dimensionality.
A press conference is a place where height and width exist, but depth is gone. It is that flat, reliefless world I have tried to highlight in this text.
