All press conferences are but for giving knowledge of precise information on a precise subject. All that remains is to define what we understand/hear by “precise”, “subject”, “information”, “knowledge”, “to give” and “but”. Precisely: in which ‘but’ a known subject gives information?
We have all experienced – or observed – the hypnotic power of speech coming from a "powerful" person. How is it possible for someone to speak and act often in a opposite direction, often for such a long time and yet being extremely well approved. How is it possible that obviously non scrupulous people have such a fascinating effect on the general population? And ethics appears as an unnecessary – boring? – value.
The main character of "Press Conference" is certainly not boring although his speech seams to have no content - do we really know what he is talking about? And yet he IS convincing. And, yes, I will vote for him!
