Teresa Albuquerque
Born in Lisbon. She has a licence degree in Media Studies and a Master in cultural management (Mastère Spécialisé Européen Management des Entreprises Culturelles - Dijon Business School, 1994).
She has been particularly interested in the interconnections within different areas and approaches of cultural activities.
She is working as a cultural expert for the European Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Cultural since 2007, and she commissions the cycle "Reading Dom Quijote" in the Lisbon Municipal Theater São Luiz.
From 1996 to 1998, she was cultural deputy of the Prime-minister's Cabinet and, in 1998, she joined the Portuguese Cinema Institute as an advisor to the Institute's President.
She is a member of the board of directors of the "Casa de Mateus Foundation" and of the "Casas de Fronteira e Alorna Foundation". Since march 2010 she also is vice-president of the Casa de Mateus International Institute (IICM).
