Manuel's actual structure: a performative project
After a first childhood as an art piece and an intense adolescence as an acoustic play, Manuel is now a young adult who does not hesitate to use any media or language to express himself.
His first performative steps where meant to present himself and his acoustic phase and obliged him to embody into physical people.
This happened for the first time in Lisbon with Leopold von Verschuer & Alínea B. Issilva, in the Goethe Institut, he was Manuel unterüberzetzung, spoken mainly in German and Portuguese. His recorded self, Manuel's radio trilogy, was spoken in dozens of languages, including middle Egyptian.
Some time latter, in Berlin, in 2006, at the Mustermesse of TheaterDiscount, the three "Manuels" (Alínea, Leopold & Alvaro) with the complicity of some more friends produced a 4 hours long multilingual performance Manuel à Kreutzberg. Besides the radio play and the actors, this performance included also : music, talk show and graphic arts. In 2007 a similar model was used to present another of Alvaro's radio plays "Corpus Delicti" in the Akademie der Kunste where Mattias Breitenbach joined Alínea, Leopold & Alvaro, there was also the introduction of another visual element: a very animated power point.
Finally, in 2008, with Arnaud Churin and Emanuela Pace, Alvaro and Alínea define Manuel as a performative format polyphonic, multilingual, with a variable number of interpreters and media. Manuel oficially becomes Manuel on Stage at Lille under the form of a quintet, at the Théâtre Le Prato, en 2008, and in 2009 in Paris (with 8, 11 and 23 interpreters), at the Maison de la Poésie and then in Lisbon, at the Teatro Taborda (quintet).

Manuel born as a piece of art that became acoustic before jumping on Stage is essentially multidisplinary and willing to absorb every available element, audio and/or video tools, as well as any other tool, object or device suitable to each specific performance.
Manuel expects that his old age will be a literary one...
