All press conferences are but for giving knowledge of precise information on a precise subject. All that remains is to define what we understand/hear by “precise”, “subject”, “information”, “knowledge”, “to give” and “but”. Precisely: in which ‘but’ a known subject gives information?
We have all experienced – or observed – the hypnotic power of speech coming from a "powerful" person (and even in our family circle...). How is it possible for someone to speak and act in different, often in opposite directions, often for such a long time and yet being extremely well approved. How is it possible that obviously non scrupulous people have such a fascinating effect on the general population? And ethics appears as an unnecessary – boring? – value.
The main character of "Press Conference" is certainly not boring although his speech... on the surface so obvious, but - do we really know what he is talking about? Of course we sense that he has clearly an agenda, although, is it really the one it seams... Anyway he IS convincing. And, yes, I will vote for him!
